Adam Werner is a solo acoustic guitarist with an interest in unconventional techniques, styles and applications to fingerstyle guitar playing. He has an impressive musical background of experience and education. Adam continues to move forward and grow as an accomplished musician and artist. Indigenous to California, Adam grew up with rock guitar legends, such as: Randy Rhoads, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, among many others. Adam started his first rock band, IMAGINE, in the early 1990's and gained much respect as an innovative and progressive musician who incorporated odd meters, unorthodox key changes and intricate instrumentation with compositions that pushed the boundaries of rock music. He soon found the desire to explore the acoustic guitar when introduced to Windham Hill and its artists, such as: William Ackerman and Michael Hedges. Soon after, Adam decided this was the direction he was destined to go.

Adam Werner’s debut label release, "Signatures," a 2008 Grammy Awards contender for Best New Age album, has become a new addition to solo acoustic guitar. This album is a culmination of emotionally intense compositions with technically exceptional playing and profound musical energy. Merging the traditions of finger-style techniques with provocative percussive elements adds extra flavor to this music. A touch of electric bass, masterfully created by Kentaro Otsuka, is featured on this album.

Adam has also produced “Woodsongs: An Acoustic Guitar Collection”, which is a 17 track guitar album of previously unreleased music from artists, such as: Will Ackerman, Alex de Grassi, Preston Reed, William Coulter, John Keawe as well as, Chris Yeaton, Michael Hewett, Scott Burwell, Dylan Schorer, Rudy Perrone, Robert Walling, and many others! This is an album NOT to be missed.

Adam’s extensive performance schedule, as a solo artist, as well as with Chris Yeaton and the Woodsong Acoustics Group, has exposed many people to his wonderful guitar styles throughout the Mid-Western United States and the Hawaiian Islands. He has performed with such people as Alex de Grassi, Michael Manring, William Coulter, Ben Verdery, Hawaiian Slack-Key Masters John Keawe & Chris Yeaton, Antonio Calogero, among others.

Pianist Angelo Râpan’s musical pathway is both very similar to and also completely unlike most other artists who reside under the umbrella term of “contemporary instrumental music” today. It was a road that was challenging at times and yet also filled with many rewarding moments and triumphs. More than anything else, his voyage to where (and who) he is now displays that the courage to follow your dreams, coupled with support and love from family, and fueled by passion, talent, and perseverance, can propel you to a lofty place and, with some luck along the way, make your dreams come true.

Angelo started taking piano lessons at a very early age. His mother, a classical musician herself, began tutoring him at age 4. By the age of 6, following in his sister’s footsteps, he was accepted into the prestigious George Enescu Music Academy in his native Romania where he was a pupil of Cristina Georgescu. Six years later, he won his first piano competition, a national one at that, in Bucharest, Romania. Over the next several years, he took first and second place at competitions in Romania, Spain and Belgium. However, getting there took sacrifice by both him and his parents. His early studies allowed him to be close to his family, but by the age of 13, as the political climate in Romania worsened, his parents encouraged him to leave and he went to study at the Ars Nova Academy in Barcelona, Spain (which would later be followed by stints at schools in both Switzerland and Belgium). Even with his parents complete support, this was obviously not easy for a boy of 13 to do, but Râpan not only forged ahead, but prospered, earning a degree in Music Performance at Conservatoir Royal de Bruxelles in Belgium.

Râpan quickly ascended to higher heights in the classical music world in Europe and, after moving to America, in the United States as well. He has served as musical director for a variety of organizations in Belgium, New York, Hong Kong, and in his adopted home town of Memphis, Tennessee, where he now resides with his wife. His musical repertoire reaches far beyond his classical roots, encompassing music theatre, opera, dance repertoire, Argentinian tango, world music, and with the latest chapter in his life, contemporary instrumental music of a reflective, soothing nature. This latest page in the book of his life has culminated in his collaboration with the acclaimed production/engineering team of Will Ackerman and Tom Eaton at Imaginary Road Studios in Vermont.

The album that resulted from his visit to Vermont, Songs of Leaving, will be released in the summer of 2015, and it represents a return of sorts for the once shy Romanian boy who was more comfortable playing his own music at the piano than talking. He began an inner journey to explore music as a way of telling his life’s story, communicating what it was like for him to endure his early struggles and finally find peace and fulfillment. A friend of his introduced him to the belief in life being an adventure to live and absorb, not so much a destination to achieve. As he recounts, the doorway to musical improvisation opened early. “My first improvisation…was from age 6-7, [I was] very shy then, [and I] loved to stay in front of the piano and explore scenarios and pathways, discovering emotions that I never discovered with any other artistic expression.” While classical, dance, opera and music theatre dominated his life once his formal studies ended, he has now returned to this more intuitive and emotive composing approach. When quizzed about his inspiration for Songs of Leaving, Angelo remarks “Nature for sure, [and] visiting my grandparents every summer in Transylvania as a little boy…[it’s] amazing the stories and tales that you hear from old folks up in the mountain…very creative and full of emotions. Life experiences. Thanking my parents for their sacrifice…My sister for her guidance. My wife for the inspiration and strength in very stormy moments in life. Faith and love that we chose to share with our human family along our journey, that can change our future.”

There can be little doubt that, while his future may be full of new experiences and music collaborations as he forges ahead into relatively new musical territory, Angelo Râpan will not only do “just fine,” but will face what comes with courage, wit, and the will to weather whatever life has in store for him and he’ll come out stronger, wiser, and eager to continue the journey.

Pianist/Composer, songwriter and recording artist Brenda Warren began playing piano at four years of age and entered the Detroit Conservatory of Music at eight. Brenda chose to attend San Francisco State University to continue studying music and received a Bachelors degree in music composition and theory. While at San Francisco State she studied classical piano with Dutch concert pianist Herman Vanderkamp and after graduation with pianist/composer William Allaudin Mathieu. While in college and after graduation Brenda performed her original solo piano pieces throughout the Bay Area. Her senior thesis was"The Writing and Producing of a Musical" and she went on to write the musical "Breakfast in Marin" which ran in San Francisco for one year and was nominated for a Cable Car award for best musical. Brenda moved to Los Angeles and continued songwriting for other artists and formed a pop band which debuted at the legendary Troubador.

Shortly after moving to Los Angeles Brenda signed a recording contract with Priority Records and released her first collection of solo piano works entitled "Childhood Dreams". This debut album received worldwide airplay and many of the pieces have been used in tv and documentary films. Her music is featured in "Edens Lost and Found" and "The Grass is Greener" documentaries which aired on PBS. Brenda scored part of the documentary film "The Spirit in Architecture" about legendary architect John Lautner which premeried at MOCA in Los Angeles and has been screened worldwide.

Brenda released her second critically acclaimed solo piano album "As Years Go By". It was recorded at Warner Brothers Eastwood Scoring Stage with sound designer John Paul Fasal as her co-producer. Two of the pieces "Remembering You" and "Ancient One" feature the Los Angeles based string quartet "The Section Quartet" with arrangements by the founder violinist Eric Gorfain. Three selections from this album are included in two compilation albums, "Baby Chill" and "Piano Zen".

Brenda is a member of the piano artist group Whisperings Solo Piano Radio founded by pianist/composer David Nevue. Her music can be heard on Pandora, Apple Music and Spotify as well as Music Soundscapes, Enlightened Piano Radio and many digital outlets. After a 10 year hiatus, Brenda released her third solo piano album 'Beautiful Journey" with instrumentation in April, 2018. It was recorded at Imaginary Road Studios in Vermont with Grammy award winning producer and Windham Hill founder Will Ackerman. This album features Grammy winning musicians adding their talents to many of the twelve new songs. Brenda performed one of the pieces from the new album at Carnegie Hall. "Imagine Spring" , the first track on "Beautiful Journey" is included in "The Gathering IV" compilation album featuring various artists produced by Will Ackerman.

Primary among Brenda's influences are Erik Satie, Keith Jarrett, and her favorite artists Laura Nyro And Joni Mitchell. Her music is called "hypnotic" "joyful""introspective" "soothing" "healing" "romantic" and "quite gorgeous". One reviewer described her music after seeing her play live as "painting pictures with each piece". Improvisation has always been a part of Brenda's performances and "A Revelation" on 'Childhood Dreams' and "Goodnight" on 'As Years Go By' were improvised at the end of the recording sessions.

"Music has always been my passion. I sat down at the piano at 4 years old and I am still there, looking to find the magic in the keys. I am forever inspired to create pieces of music that are true expressions of what I feel but can't express in words."

Christi Stills embarked on her journey of "composing" music at a young age. Being an only child in a quiet home opened many doors for imagination and creativity. After years of learning through opportunities, mostly in church settings, she discovered that others were interested in listening to her hymn arrangements.

She recorded a couple of CDs and transcribed the arrangements onto sheet music. After encouraging reviews, she became inspired to create and share some original music, which has since been well received by listeners around the globe.

In other windows of her schedule, Christi also enjoys consuming dark chocolate, drinking coffee, reading, hiking, tutoring kids who learn "outside the box," and creating more new tunes to share. On an important note, she is called "DiDi" by the world's two cutest tiny humans.

Thank you for weaving these instrumental melodies into your life story as you study, relax, or take time to heal. Remember that - "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change."

A gifted solo pianist and composer, Christine Brown’s music is a unique blend of contemporary, new age and classical sounds. With her graceful, elegant touch, Christine uses the piano to paint colorful landscapes with her thoughtful, musical interpretations of life’s emotions and experiences. “Ascend” is Christine’s 12th album, following the award-winning CD “Seamless”, awarded “Best Pop/Rock Piano Album 2016” by SoloPiano.com, her unique arrangements of classic cover songs, blending classical and new age pieces into clever medleys to create a sophisticated and seamless musical tapestry. “Souvenirs” was awarded “Best Solo Piano Album of 2014” by Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, selected from over 100 solo piano albums. Christine was also honored to be recognized by Kawai Pianos in 2014 as an official Kawai Piano Artist. Previous releases, “Promise” (2009) and “The Wishing Well” (2011), were both nominated by Whisperings for “Piano Album of the Year”. Her compositions have received numerous accolades, including named on “Mainly Piano Favorites List” for A Classic Christmas (2012), Souvenirs (2014), and Seamless (2016).

Since the young age of three, Christine has been fascinated by the piano. Receiving the highest honors given by the Guild National Piano Auditions, Christine’s childhood classical training is evident in her melodic and thematic compositions, while rich harmonies reflect her background in accompanying various choral groups. From Chopin to Joplin, her influences were varied and many, and she also enjoyed creating her own arrangements of popular songs. While earning a business degree at the University of Colorado Boulder, Christine was inspired by George Winston’s new age genre of solo piano, yet the piano remained only a hobby for many years.

“In 1990, my mother requested a cassette tape of my piano music for her birthday, so I went to a local recording studio. It was then that I rediscovered my passion for playing the piano, and I realized my gift to her was really her gift to me.” Sadly, her mother passed away just months later. Christine immersed herself into the piano to comfort her grief and voice her emotions, releasing heartfelt compositions that captured listeners. These early compositions were featured on well received solo piano compilation albums, Piano Portraits (1992) and Summer Stories (1994), distributed by Sugo Records. Christine was inspired to release her own solo piano CD, Winter Tapestry (1997). Married and raising two young sons, she also arranged collections of children’s songs, Childhood (2004) and Childhood II (2011), Believe (2004), Christmas On My Mind (2004), and Piano Stories (2006).

Christine’s fans have written, “There is a richness to your sound, a refined elegance and passionate intelligence that could only come from working hard at your craft, ” and ”…her music is vibrant, colorful and full of life. Skilled at the art of blending chords and note progressions into beautiful aural tapestries, her music is at once a welcome retreat from the mundane and ordinary. Her emotions come through her music…and through her music, she is able to reach out and touch the hearts of millions of appreciative piano music fans.” Christine’s music can be heard worldwide, featured on Spotify, Pandora, iTunes, Amazon, and most internet and cable/satellite stations.
