Joel Asher The River of Calm

As a young teenager, Joel Asher developed a deep and strong inclination to piano music. He started dreaming music on a nightly basis. His mother had some Classical Piano records stashed away in a cupboard, and he asked her if he could listen to them. To his surprise and great delight, he realized it was the music he was dreaming!

He immediately started playing the piano at the age of 13, studying Classical Music. At the age of 25, he began to play Fingerstyle Guitar. He has taught Piano and Acoustic Fingerstyle Guitar privately. Classical strongly influences his compositions, but they are also influenced by Traditional American Folk and Pop.

He is currently living in Nashville, Tennessee and works as a full‐time independent piano technician. He plays locally when he gets the chance, and was recently invited to perform one of his original piano compositions at Opryhouse Studio A, the same stage where Hee Haw was filmed.

Joel Asher’s music can is on Whisperings, Enlightened Piano Radio and The River Of Calm.
